Where have we been you ask??? Well aside from continuing the meticulous planning required for world domination, we've been very busy 'monkeying' around with motion-control demos and reconfiguring our Æther Engine for some 'spacey' downloadable action!!!

We recently helped out our compadres over at United Front Games and Sony San Diego on their "Play, Create, Share" racer due out in May 2010...

...We also contributed our expertise over at Hothead Games on:

Head over to our G.A.M.E.S tab in the Robot Invaders section of our site for more details and information about these titles!

"We can build it...Better - Faster - Stronger." Robots love changing interfaces! (yeah, yeah it was driving us nuts too!). It's not all up yet, but we gotta leave you hungry for more right..RIGHT!?!

If you Email us and tell us what you think of the new central communication terminal (awesome@atomicrobotgames.com) we'll send you something...like an email saying thank you!

Oh right, did we mention that our first title is just around the corner? Nope...we didn't see it mentioned either! That's probably because it hasn't been announced yet...but it's coming.
Just keep your eyes peeled (enough that you can actually still see) on our site, in the media or on PSN (and maybe from other sources???)..

Robot Commanders

Russell Rice | CEO / Creative Director

Russ lives and breathes video games - morning, noon and night (just ask his wife...she'll definitely back that up). The only thing he likes more than playing games is making them...and making them damn good! This is proven by his successful creative leadership across multiple genres on some of the most well known and successful titles in video game history!
Aside from his leadership and creativity, Russ is famous for his unfettered determination and his ability to problem solve in the toughest of situations. On top of all that, in his early years, he had quite a famous reputation for carving wooden duck decoys (Ha! We knew you'd have to read that twice...and yes it's true).

Tristan Grimmer | President / Chief Technology Officer

Tristan is smart...like really smart...We're talking Computer Science (with honors) and Engineering Physics smart! Everything - including life is a 'function' to him. Tristan 'functions' at all levels of game programming. He is one of the few remaining gems that actually has the ability to program at a low level...a 'machine whisperer' if you will.
All this mixed with his exposure to a wide range of technologies over the years has given Tristan the ability to build a game engine from the ground up (such as our Æther Engine) or to work with any 3rd party engine/ tool that would benefit any of our projects.

Ken Thurston | Vice President / Senior Art Lead

Thursty has been around since the dawn of videogames. There was a time in his career where he actually had to manually punch in pixel values one by one (We know...crazy huh?).
His love and passion for games is borderline psychotic (as is clearly evidenced by walking around our studio or touring his home)! We're actually certain things like Neo-Geo are part of his real-life family tree.
Thursty has worked on almost every platform in history. He has a nifty talent of being able to adapt to new technologies easily while also maintaining a strict regiment of creating high quality and the extremely efficient art assets critical to any game platform.

Chia Ping (CP) Wang | Communications Officer

CP is the master of pretty much anything technical he can get his hands on. He ensures all equipment and communications into and out of Atomic Robot run smoothly and invisibly.
But it doesn't end there...CP also has an incredible knack for putting technology to the test...In other words; he is really good at trying to break stuff on purpose, therefore solidifying the quality of our games!
Wait there's more! He also has the ability to help out in every area of development from technical art to tracking down nasty code bugs as well as providing a constant stream of game design ideas and useful functionalities.
Truly a wonder to behold!

Robot A.R.M.Y

The foundation of Atomic Robot does not rest on the directors alone. We have amassed an initial group of trusted, extremely talented lead and senior staff members – further solidifying our strength as a top notch development studio.
Almost all the members that make up the initial group at Atomic Robot have worked together, as a team, off and on for many years. In the short periods that we worked apart we have gained the combined experience of contributing to all sizes of projects and development teams. Our passion for creating interactive entertainment together is what formed the ever-growing senior core of Atomic Robot.

Yeah yeah we'll get to it...jeeeez!

Yeah yeah we'll get to it...jeeeez!

Yeah yeah we'll get to it...jeeeez!

Want to join our army of robot invaders? Well, here's a bit about life in our secret underground lair.

It's important that each robot is in an environment where they can achieve their own personal goals. Give us your passion, creativity, hard work, and awesome attitude and we'll make sure those goals are met!
Need to hash out your next diabolical plan for world enslavement? Our private board room is always open! Fuel up in our full kitchen, hone your skills on our foosball table or enjoy some old school fun in our Arcade room.

We are located right in the heart of Gas Town which means Skytrain, Buses, shops and restaurants. A Robot favorite is "The Black Frog" and it's right in transmission range! Not to mention, you're almost guaranteed to end up in photo albums all over the world thanks to that infernal "Steam Clock" right across the street!

Please note: due to a CRAZY number of incoming resumes we simply can't respond to everyone - rest assured we will be in touch if we feel there is a good fit!
Also, demos, code samples and resumes will not be returned. We use them as fuel to...um...uhhh...I think we've said too much...TERMINATING COMMUNICATION!

Robot Vision properly identifies the individual components required to assemble a complete picture. At Atomic we love our 3d, Art and Graphic Design functionalities - we constantly challenge ourselves in all aspects of them. Many of our robots have played major roles in contributing to visual excellence award winning games...We are VERY critical of our craft!

We also understand that the art of Interactive Entertainment is much more technically demanding than most other fields in the arts. Finding the right balance of creativity and artistic integrity combined with constant learning are the keys to our success.
If you're thinking "WOW...I really need to work there!" feel free to send us your resume and/or demo-reel links to:

jobs@atomicrobotgames.com

Please don't email us your demo-reel, it's far too much data for our mail robot!
If you need to send us your demo-reel using the primitive human delivery system, click the link for our physical address in the "Intel" section of our site.

There are no art positions currently available, but we're always willing examine and consider exceptional talents for all levels of artists!

The core of a robot's brain are the subroutines that justify its actions. Expressed in the form of three laws yields:

1. A robot may not injure the game or, through inaction, allow the game to come to harm (translation: Don't break the build).

2. A robot must obey, or at least consider, the requirements and demands of the Atomic game development philosophy, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. You'll find out more about our development philosophy if deemed worthy.

3. A robot must protect their own interests so long as such interest's do not conflict with the First or Second Law. Atomic will do everything possible to make this as painless as possible during the assimilation process.

Still want to work here? Send us your demos and resume.

There are no code positions currently available, but we're always willing examine and consider exceptional talents for all levels of programmer!

There are no management or design positions currently available, but we're always willing to consider all walks of the organized!
